Rebecca & Rohan

Just finished this wedding which began at Rebecca's mum's house in Harvey, with a quick photo shoot in the beautiful Stirling Cottage gardens with photographer Sarah from Henderson Photographics. Then on to The Sanctuary Golf Resort for the ceremony on the putting green.

Albany Wedding

Just got back from a long weekend in Albany where I filmed niece Nadine's marriage to Brayden and also acted as DJ for the night as well.

The extreme weather did its absolute best to spoil the day but to no avail. Everyone seemed to be really enjoying themselves. Kerry & I were both really busy so only got a chance to snap a couple of stills for now.

In the meantime I'm working on Rohan and Rebecca's wedding while the other computers chug away making copies of dance graduations from the previous weekend. Yes, it's that time of year again!

Valentine's Day 2009 Available

Remarkable but true.
If you're getting married on Feb. 14 2009 and have not considered a professional video, there is still time!
Our only vacancy in February is Valentine's Day! You would expect that to go first - it's not like it falls on a Saturday every year!

Currently working on Sharee & Jacob's wedding from the 20th September.

The ceremony was in the beautiful grounds of Sharee's parents' house in Kingston and the reception at the rowing club, complete with live band.

Preview coming soon.

Currently in the edit suite I'm working on the wedding of Brett & Jocelyn who got married on September 13 by the lake in Dalyellup then had their reception at the Bunbury Power Boat Club.

Their photographers were the delightful Mike & Kylie from Pixel Magix. At 3pm, when the bride was due to arrive, Mike & I decided to move the whole setup (red carpet, decorations, chairs, etc) out from under the marquee to a more picturesque place alongside, as it looked much better and the weather looked like it was going to stay fine.

Brett and the boys jumped into action, shifting everything with military precision, while Mike & I pointed and issued instructions like a couple of bossy movie directors! Within two minutes, the boys were lined up waiting calmly at the end of the aisle. It was as Jocelyn originally wanted it; in the park with the lake in the background, but the marquee was insurance in case it rained.

Here's a quick preview as the bride arrives.

First Post!

Finally I have entered the 21st century by jumping on the blogwagon. But what a great way to keep everyone up to date with the often months-long process of post production.

Our new website is now up and running at supernova.net.au but there's a fair bit to do to it yet. I want it to be a good source of information on video production as well as promoting the business.

A lot of the advice out there on how to choose a video producer is as good as useless: either outdated or just poor information. If I ever get the time I will write one on selecting a wedding videographer (I hate that word!) and submit it to some bridal sites. They can only refuse to use it can't they?
