Mat & Katy Cummins

August 29, 2009

My first wedding of the spring was one of the most memorable, with a 20s/30s theme. This worked perfectly with the art deco styled Caves House at Yallingup, where the wedding took place. Katy did a brilliant job of sourcing all the bits and pieces from all over the world. Our clip even features a classic car, supplied by one of the guests.
The ceremony was Nay Pearce's first as a celebrant and she did an excellent job. Photography by Pixel Magix, Music by Nathan Wheals and the evening was hosted by Cliff Reeve.

Peter & Kristi Elrick

May 9, 2009

Peter & Kristi chose a quiet park in Busselton to have their ceremony, conducted by Peter Elson. Clare & John from Clare Day Photography made sure the photo shoot was loads of fun as usual and the reception was again at the excellent Abbey Beach Resort.

Jonathon & Jessica Green

May 2, 2009

Wedding and reception at Abbey Beach Resort, Busselton. After the ceremony conducted by Sarsha Wetherall, we headed off for photos with Lauren from WeddingWorks at nearby Flame Tree Winery then some beach shots at the beautiful Meelup Beach.

Michael & Katherine Goy

18 April, 2009

Married in the tiny St Joseph's Catholic Church in Capel, followed by a reception at The Goose on the beach at Busselton. Michael struggled with a serious foot injury and the painkillers meant he was in a bit of a daze all day. Just as well he has a DVD to help jog the memory . . .

Dom & Sonia Marzano

April 4, 2009

Following the ceremony in Bunbury's St Boniface Cathedral, we went to the strangely beautiful paperbark trees of the Big Swamp park and the old courthouse for photos, then it was a muso's mecca at the reception in the Lighthouse Beach Resort.

I wished I'd brought my axe along to join in on few tunes!

Nathan & Diana Leitch

March 28, 2009

St Mary's again followed by location photos at beautiful Wyadup Beach with Stephen & Ros Blakeney. The reception was at Clairault Winery.

Christopher & Kelly-Maree Hughes

March 14, 2009
Married at St Mary's Anglican Church in Busselton with reception following in the Family Centre next door. Mike & Kylie from Pixel Magic made sure the laughs were forthcoming during the photo shoot.

Aaron & Megan Scott

February 28, 2009.

This was my third wedding for the Buswell family. Only Clay to go now, but "Don't hold your breath", says mum Debbie.
Megan looks fantastic and Aaron is one of the funniest guys - even in the highlights you can see him making everyone laugh!

Jonathan & Raquel Krikke

February 21, 2009.
The ceremony was at the Harvey Dam amphitheatre. Raquel worked for the company that built the dam so it had special significance, altough the roof proved problematic for Jonno when releasing his balloon!
The surrounds were very pleasant on a warm summer's day for photos, then off to nearby Bunbury for more shots around town and at the beach before a fantastic reception at the Italian Club.

Ben & Belinda Scott

Ben and Bel married in the grounds of Bunbury High School and had a great reception in a marquee on the Scott family farm, amongst a grove of trees.

This wedding marked the debut of my new camera, a Sony HVR Z5. I had a friend, a totally unskilled camera-person, test drive it on full autopilot while I used my trusty JVC HD111. I used the Sony briefly during some of the photo shoot but almost all of the highlights shots are from the JVC.

Shane & Carlie Morphew

As it was Australia Day Weekend, Shane & Carlie had their wedding on the beach at Meelup, followed by a very relaxed party afterward at a lovely property nearby.
The highlights is fun and casual, reflecting the vibe of the day.

In Carlie's own words:
"The DVD is great and it was nice to be able to see all the stuff that we missed, and forgot!! it made me want to do it all over again as it was a great day.
Thanks so much for all your work you did. We greatly appreciate it and now have a wonderful keepsake thanks to you!"

Busy Weekend!

Back to work after after a hectic weekend, culminating in the Sanctuary Golf Resort's Bridal fair in Bunbury which was bigger and better this year.

Besides meeting the many future brides and grooms, it was a great opportunity to mix with the other wedding service providers beyond the usual quick hi, bye! type of conversation which is all we have time for during a wedding!

There are three weddings in the editing system as of today: two of them are 90% complete but waiting for material or action from the couples concerned. The third I will finish today or tomorrow and then start the next one. That's why there wasn't been a clip posted for a while. I like to wait until the couple has seen their DVD before putting their highlights up.

Marc & Gem Antonov

Finally finished up this wedding after a corporate shoot set me back a week.
Thanks for your patience, guys!

Gem chose this song which works really well, as they are high school sweethearts.

The photo shoot was great fun thanks to Kylie & Mike from Pixel Magix. In summer with daylight saving, many photographers have finished by the time "magic hour" (which only lasts about 15 minutes) happens, but we all snuck out from the reception to get the beautiful "golden sprinkler" shots on the golf course at Sanctuary Golf Resort, Bunbury.

Welch Wedding

Adam married Cathryn at Bunbury's Centenary Gardens on December 6, 2008.
It was a very relaxed and fun day - I remember laughing a lot, which is bad 'cause it makes the camera shake!
The reception was fun too, with Madison and Emily taking to the stage for some quick stand-up and a song & dance set.
The mood of the day is reflected in the highlights . . .

Back to Weddings

After a hectic few weeks of corporate work involving lots of cows and buffaloes (don't ask), I'm back to editing weddings again. Thanks to Adam & Cat for their patience and understanding - your wedding is almost done.
And don't think you got away with having a sneak peek at it while I was away! The editing program has a list of recently opened files, so I knew someone had had a look. Kerry got busted!
I'll put up some clips as soon as they're done.

Steve & Caesia Talliss, November 1, 2008

The best part of this wedding, I thought, was the photo shoot before the ceremony, allowing plenty of time for leisurely photos at several different locations the couple chose, from a skate park in town to a secluded cottage with a beautiful brook.

The ceremony took place at 5:30 in the grounds of Clairault Winery with the reception following afterwards. A great way to do it, especially as the guests aren't left with a couple of hours to kill while the bridal party goes off for photos, as often happens.

The day was perfect in every way and it shows in the relaxed happy vibe that is apparent even in the highlights.

Pat & Veronica Young - October 25, 2008

Pat and Veronica said their I do's on the banks of the Collie River, on Veronica's father's property in Burekup. It was a beautiful setting with the orchard, the river and the glorious weather combining to make it the perfect day.

The ceremony was followed by an afternoon tea while the newly-weds were congratulated by family and friends.

Photos followed in the orchard and on a nearby property then we headed for Bunbury to a few locations there.

At the Sanctuary Golf Resort, Pat and V launched straight into their bridal waltz upon entering the room, to kick off the celebrations in style!

Darren & Sarah Ford

On the 24th October Darren & Sarah got married at Munja Gardens near Mandurah. Darren's brother Steven and his wife Kelly almost didn't make it as their second child decided it was time to make an appearance, and was born just days before the wedding.

The rain stayed away for the ceremony, conducted by Marcia Skinner, but put a slight damper on the photo shoot. Lack of daylight was our biggest problem - we need daylight saving in winter, not summer!

Yure & Lori Pavic

Another Christmas behind us and new year to welcome in, but now it's back to work cranking out more weddings. Before the break I finished Yure & Lori's wedding which was on the 11th October at Brookland Valley Winery near Margaret River.

It was a rainy day, especially during the ceremony, but a marquee kept everyone dry and the day was a great success, followed by a lovely reception at Flutes restaurant, overlooking Brookland's lake.

Stephen & Ros from Stephen Blakeney Photography ensured the photo shoot was relaxed and enjoyable as usual. I can't wait to see the photos.
